Iranian e-commerce scientific association has been established to develop and scientifically promote e-commerce, enhance qualitative growth of the specialized forces and improve research and training programs in e-commerce. The request of establishing the association was reviewed and approved in Iranian scientific association commission in ministry of science, research and technology on 30/6/2009 and finally via the letter no. 2416/3 dated 14/7/2009 was communicated to the board of founders.

The fifth meeting of the specialized committee of developing electronic commerce and economy development roadmap was held with presence of different organizations' representatives, in deputy of information technology and e-commerce development, ministry of industry, mine and trade on September 16, 2012. During this meeting, some topics such as the received comments of different organizations and completion of the roadmap of electronic commerce and economy were discussed and reviewed. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Paryab, the project manager of developing electronic commerce and economy development roadmap welcomed the audiences and provided some explanations about the submitted comments by different organizations. Also he emphasized on using suitable indices to measure Iran electronic commerce and economy. Then Mrs. Oyarhossein provided some explanations about the received comments and pointed that the primary changes which were proposed by different organizations have been applied to the roadmap. Moreover she added that based on the strength and weaknesses, threats and opportunities proposed by organizations, some new strategies have been developed and included in the roadmap. She said that one part as the title of operational plans including 51 operational plans have been added as a separate part to the roadmap. Next, Mr. Rajabi, the representative of ministry of interior, provided some explanations about using the national internet and the necessity of paying enough attention to the impacts of its implementation. Following the speech of Mr. Rajabi, Mr. Paryab said that implementing the national internet can have different consequences. On one hand, the implementation of national internet can enhance the security of data transfer among different organizations and on the other hand, may cause some restrictions. So, all aspects of implementation and deployment of national internet should be considered by experts. Then Mr. Abbasian, the representative of presidency, appreciated consideration of submitted comments in new version of roadmap and suggested that in order to facilitate access to information of different organizations, some strategies for information sharing should be considered in the proposed operational plans Ms. Asouli, the representative of Fava management working group, Ms. Niknejad, the representative of ministry of economic affairs and finance and Ms. Zomorodi, the representative of central bank expressed their point of views concerning the completion of electronic commerce and economy roadmap. At the end, Mr. Paryab added some complementary explanations and answered to the questions. He noted that the next meeting of the committee will be held on September 25, 2012.
