    Iranian e-commerce scientific association has been established to develop and scientifically promote e-commerce, enhance qualitative growth of the specialized forces and improve research and training programs in e-commerce. The request of establishing the association was reviewed and approved in Iranian scientific association commission in ministry of science, research and technology on 30/6/2009 and finally via the letter no. 2416/3 dated 14/7/2009 was communicated to the board of founders.

Strategic Document

Iranian e-commerce scientific association has been established to develop and scientifically promote e-commerce, enhance qualitative growth of the specialized forces and improve research and training programs in e-commerce. Based on permission of Iranian scientific association commission which is situated in ministry of science, research and technology and according to letter no. 2416/3 dated 14/7/2009, this association was founded. The first general assembly was held on 30/10/2009 and the members of the board of directors and the inspector were chosen. Meanwhile the first meeting of the board of directors was held on 10/11/2009 and during this meeting; the association policies for achieving the association goals in framework of prospects, mission and strategies were developed.

Prospects:

Iranian e-commerce scientific association is the most effective e-commerce hub and the scientific source in development of e-commerce

Missions:

  1. Expanding the borders of knowledge and promoting the scientific level of e-commerce
  2. Laying the groundwork to attract the private sector participation and promotion of professional ethics in e- commerce
  3. Active interaction with relevant specialized organizations and agencies at regional and international level
  4. Active interaction with local and foreign universities and research centers
  5. Public Informing and promoting capabilities and applications of e-commerce
  6. Participation in national policies and decisions of e-commerce

Strategies:

  1. Expanding the borders of knowledge and promoting the scientific level of e-commerce by:
    1. Doing basic, applied and developmental researches
    2. Publishing books, scientific & specialized journals in e-commerce
    3. Starting a digital library in e-commerce field
    4. Providing e-commerce training services through arranging workshops and training courses
    5. Arranging meetings attended by experts
    6. Providing certificate to institutions which are active in e-commerce
  2. Laying the groundwork to attract the private sector participation and promotion of professional ethics in e- commerce by:
    1. Providing consulting services to non-governmental organizations
    2. Forming scientific committees with cooperation of those who are active in private sector
    3. Selection and Introduction of the bests in e-commerce
  3. Active interaction with relevant specialized organizations and agencies at regional and international level by:
    1. Membership and presence in organizations and institutions and taking their agencies
    2. Cooperation with mentioned organizations and institutions in preparing reports and international assessments in e-commerce
    3. Arranging scientific- training programs and organizing joint conferences with organizations and institutions in Iran or other countries
  4. Active interaction with local and foreign universities and research centers by:
    1. Organizing joint training courses
    2. Supporting the implementation and commercialization of ideas in e-commerce
    3. Participation in development of e-commerce Syllabuses and courses
    4. Interaction with universities ‘experts to have their presence in scientific committees of the association
  5. Public Informing and promoting capabilities and applications of e-commerce by:
    1. Organizing public and specialized conferences in e-commerce
    2. Supporting the authors who are active in e-commerce
    3. Publishing general training leaflets and multimedia contents in e-commerce
    4. Establishing the association’s new branches in Iran
    5. Participation in providing the contents of e-commerce promoting programs and cooperation with medias to inform public
    6. Effort in developing and promoting the culture of using e-commerce instead of traditional commerce
  6. Participation in national policies and decisions of e- commerce by:
    1. Providing consulting and specialized services to policy institutions
    2. Scientific cooperation in localization and implementation of e-commerce international standards and developing the national standards in this field
    3. Participation in formulation of laws, regulations and programs of Iran e-commerce development
